 Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 review

Asus has unveiled the company’s latest Chromebook series. These two Chromebooks will be available in two models: Flip CM3 with rotating screen and Detachable CM3 with detachable screen. Asus Chromebook Flip CM3 with rotating screen

The Chromebook Flip CM3 will be available with a 12-inch screen and 136 x 912 imaging dimensions, which can be rotated 360 degrees and can be used like a laptop with a tablet. This Chromebook also supports the Asus pen, which is suitable for drawing and taking notes. Inside was a 2GHz Microtec MT8183C processor, an Arm Mali-G72 GPU with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded. Increased to 1 terabyte via microSD card reader port.

There’s a 720p webcam at the top of the Chromebook’s display, and its connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5 Series 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a USB 2.0 Type-A port. The device will have a multifunctional audio jack and a 2-watt stereo speaker and a digital microphone. The device weighs 1.1 kg and also uses Google’s Titan C security chip. According to Asus, the 32 Wh battery of these Chromebooks charges the device for up to 16 hours.

If you need a tablet-like device with Chrome OS, the Detachable CM3 Chromebook will be a better choice for you. This Chromebook has almost the same hardware as the Flip CM3, but its keyboard, like the Surface Go 2, is magnetically connected to the device and easily detachable. This tablet has folding bases on the back, which without the keyboard can be set to a standstill with several different angles.

 Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 review

This Chromebook has a 10.5-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 screen dimensions with a multi-touch panel and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The keyboard of this device has 1.5 mm keys and you can use the stylus pen of the device instead. If you remove the keyboard cover from the Chromebook, this device is only 7.9 mm thick. The device is made of aluminum and has a dark black chassis.

The Detachable CM3 processor is a Microtek MTK8183 with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and will come with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. This device has a USB 2.0 type C port and a multi-purpose audio jack port. The Chromebook keyboard connects to the device via a Pogo Pin interface, and two stereo speakers are built into the subsystem. The front of the Chromebook has a 2-megapixel camera and the back has an 8-megapixel camera.

With a 27-watt battery, this Chromebook will run for up to 12 hours without the hassle, which is less than the Flip CM3, but instead the tablet with its connected screen weighs only 500 grams, which is almost half the weight of the Flip CM3.

Detachable CM3 comes with a special keyboard and stand and does not need to be purchased separately. Both devices also come with 12 months of Google One cloud storage with a capacity of 100 GB.
