Google’s new Pixel Buds A series review

The Pixel Buds A series has three series with three different sizes, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable and a guide.

Hardware and design

The A Pixel Buds series is the same design as last year ‘s Pixel Buds. The charging case is about the same size; But it is 8 grams lighter (53 grams). The handsets are small and weigh 5 grams each and are lightweight. Each headphone has a deformable microphone at the bottom and a volume down microphone at the top so that the other party in the call can hear you clearly. Each headphone is equipped with a sensor: If you remove the headphone from your ear, playback will stop automatically.

These headphones produce sound through 12mm drivers, just like the most expensive Pixel Buds. The headphones adjust the volume of air inside the ear, and this adjustment of the air in the ear helps to listen to the sound or any sound for a long time.

The components in the Pixel Buds and Pixel Buds A series are different, although their design are the same. The touch screen in the A series cannot detect sliding gestures, which means you can not adjust the volume using a swipe. There is also one less proximity sensor in each headphone, which reduces the overall weight of each headphone by about half a gram.

Google’s new Pixel Buds A series are technically compatible with iOS, you can pair it with an Android phone is one way to do it. If you have a non-Pixel Android phone, all the features and controls are available through the Pixel Buds app. If you want to use iOS, you want an Android device to manage settings and update the operating system for headphones. Both headphones are water and sweat resistant and IPx4 certified.

The sound is produced by custom 12mm drivers, which is exactly the same as the most expensive Pixel Buds.

Program Features

To set it up, you can easily pair it with your Android phone. Although Pixel Buds is technically compatible with iOS; But it gives you fewer capabilities.

Google Assistant is the main selling point of the A Pixel Buds series, and its implementation and integration with Android is excellent. With this feature, not only are notifications displayed in your ear. Instead, you can answer them directly from your headphones without using your phone.

Charging and battery life

These headphones offer 5 hours of playback on a single charge and a total of 24 hours of battery life with a charging case. The case is charged via USB-C. But the wireless charging is not available yet.

Quality of voice and telephone calls

Despite the inability to customize EQ, the A Pixel Buds series delivers a balanced sound. Although the bass may be low at first; But with Bass Boost option, it satisfies the user.
