Oppo’s Optical Achievements for Smartphones

The news of the development of the selfie camera under the Oppo screen caused a stir in the world of technology due to the innovation of removing the selfie camera protrusion in the next generation phones. With this technology, we will soon be able to see phones that use integrated screens.

Now, in another phase of the innovations in the field of Oppo’s camera phone, we are witnessing Oppo’s optical achievements for smartphones in next generation, which will be praised by many critics. Join us for more details on Oppo’s optical achievements for smartphones. You can read the other articles on the itmagazine to learn about the latest news and also to view other related articles.

Take a look at Oppo’s optical achievements

Oppo held an online event this afternoon with the main theme of “Utilizing Next Generation Imaging Technology” and unveiled some of its achievements at the conference.

You should also keep in mind that Oppo has been known from the beginning for unveiling some concept designs and then developing them, as it was the first company to unveil telescope and pyroscope lenses and sub-screen cameras. So you have to understand the excitement of many reporters and news reporters in the digital world.

Camera

The first camera on display includes a telephoto lens with continuous optical zoom. Unlike telephoto periscope lenses used today, this lens moves in the magnification range of 85-200 mm, which means that the images must be at any focal length without the need for digital zoom, digital image cropping or artificial resolution of images.

Although this is interesting in itself, you should know that Vivo had previously unveiled a similar product for its Apex 2020 concept phone, but its magnification range was much more limited, around 195-135 mm. But this Oppo lens starts at 85mm, and the common focal length for vertical shots needs to be more varied. The company guarantees that this lens will provide consistent performance in terms of color and white light balance in the final image at longer focal lengths. Unfortunately, Oppo did not talk about the final release of this lens.

 Five-axis optical stabilization system

Oppo’s next unveiling is a five-axis optical stabilization system that uses lens-changing techniques, sensors as well as telephone gyroscope motion data. In this system, the lens change is used for gradual stabilization, while the sensor change is applied in more dramatic conditions and includes the ability to rotate the sensor and the horizontal and vertical axes.

According to Oppo, the output of this system is three times better than conventional camera modules. However, this is exactly what Vivo announced about its stabilization systems last year. Contrary to previous announcements, the release date of this stabilization system has been determined and in the first quarter of 2022, we will see its use in Oppo phones.

 New image sensor

Oppo’s latest unveiling is a new image sensor that uses RGBW designs and offers extra white pixels to improve performance by 60% over previous sensors. Oppo acknowledges that the company’s previous efforts to build RGBW sensors have been limited, but the new model has made a big difference due to more advanced manufacturing processes and improved performance of demos algorithms. This sensor will also be used in Oppo phones from winter.
